This policy explains what Rootify ("the app", operated by Rootify) does with your data. Rootify simulates how a hair transplant result might look. It is a visualisation tool, not a medical service.
Photos you take or choose. The photo you submit for a simulation, and the simulated images generated from it.
Purchase information. Whether you hold an active subscription, which plan, and when it renews.
App usage counts. How many free simulations you have run, so we can apply the free limit.
We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number or date of birth, and we do not collect your location, contacts or advertising identifiers.
Purpose of Collection and Use: We collect and process your facial data (photos) strictly to simulate how a hair transplant result might look.
Retention: Your photos are not stored on our servers. They are processed temporarily to generate the simulation and are not retained.
Deletion & Consent: You can delete your photos by deleting the app from your device. You can revoke camera permissions at any time through your device settings.
Third Parties: To generate simulations, your photos are securely shared with our AI service providers (Replicate, Google, and OpenAI) solely for processing. They do not use your photos to train models and are bound by strict privacy standards. We do not share your face data with any other third parties.
Rootify has no server of its own. Your photo is sent directly from your device to Replicate, Inc., which runs the AI models on our behalf.
Replicate passes the photo to the specific models we call: Google models (used to screen the photo and to generate the simulated images) and an OpenAI model (used to assess the scalp and produce the graft estimate).
Those providers process the photo only to return a result to us. We do not permit, and do not participate in, the use of your photo to train AI models.
Generated images are stored temporarily on Replicate's content delivery network so the app can display them. The links expire; we keep no copy on any server we control.
Because these providers operate internationally, your photo may be processed outside your country, including in the United States.
Before your first simulation, and before any photo is sent, the app asks for your explicit consent on a separate screen. No photo is transmitted unless you agree.
When you agree and use the simulation feature, the photo you select is transmitted over an encrypted connection to Replicate, Inc. and processed through third-party AI models operated by Google LLC (the Gemini and image-generation models) and by OpenAI (the scalp-assessment model) to generate the simulation images. The photo is the only personal data shared with these third-party AI services.
Photos are not retained on our servers, are not used by us to train any model, and are not linked to your identity or any advertising identifier. Each provider's handling of this data is governed by its own terms — including the Google APIs Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy, the OpenAI API terms and privacy policy, and the Replicate terms and privacy policy.
You may withdraw this consent at any time in Settings → AI Data Sharing, after which no photo will be transmitted and the simulation feature is disabled until you turn it back on.
The photo you selected, the generated results while you are viewing them, and a small local record of how many free simulations you have used. Deleting the app removes all of it.
Purchases are handled by RevenueCat, Inc. on our behalf. RevenueCat receives an anonymous identifier for your installation, your subscription status, and a count of the free simulations you have run.
Payment itself is handled entirely by Apple or Google. We never see your card details.
To produce the simulation you asked for.
To check that a photo is usable before spending processing on it.
To apply the free-simulation limit and to unlock paid features.
Where the law requires a legal basis, ours is performance of a contract with you, together with your consent for the processing of your photo.
We do not track you across other apps or websites.
We do not show advertising, and we do not sell or rent your data.
We do not build a profile of you or use your photo for anything other than producing your simulation.
You can delete everything the app holds by deleting the app from your device.
To ask what data is associated with your purchases, or to have it deleted, write to sezginyazici@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.
Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to object to processing, to request a copy of your data, or to complain to a data protection authority.
Rootify is not intended for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly process data from children. If you believe a child has used the app, contact us and we will delete any associated records.
If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top and show the new version in the app before you next run a simulation.
